Here is an overview of the three-day tour combining the cultural significance of Delphi, the unique landscape of Meteora, and the authentic character of Ioannina.
On Day 1, we begin with pickup directly from your hotel or accommodation in Athens and drive toward Delphi, following a scenic route through mainland Greece and the slopes of Mount Parnassus.
Our first stop is the Hosios Loukas Monastery, a remarkable 10th-century Byzantine monument and one of the most important examples of Byzantine architecture in Greece.
Our second stop is Delphi, once considered the center of the ancient world. You will visit the Archaeological Site of Delphi, including the Sanctuary of Apollo, and enjoy panoramic views over the valley and the Corinthian Gulf. After the visit, there is the option to enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant on the mountainside.
Afterwards, we continue our journey toward Meteora, where overnight stay will take place.
On Day 2, we explore Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its extraordinary rock formations and historic monasteries built on top of towering natural pillars.
You will visit selected monasteries, admire their architecture and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the area. We also pass through the town of Kalambaka, completing the experience of this unique destination.
After the visit, we continue toward Ioannina, where overnight stay will take place.
On Day 3, we explore Ioannina, a city known for its rich history and lakeside atmosphere.
We begin with a walk through the old town, followed by a visit to the Castle of Ioannina.
We then visit the Ali Pasha Museum, gaining insight into the region’s historical past.
Our tour continues with a relaxing walk along the Lake Pamvotida (Ioannina Lake), before visiting the island of Ioannina, located within the lake and known for its traditional character.
After the visit, we begin our return journey to Athens, completing a diverse three-day experience.
