Discover the rich history of Athens on this private half-day tour and explore the UNESCO-listed Acropolis, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. This experience offers a perfect introduction to both ancient and modern Athens and is especially ideal if this is your first visit to the city.
We begin with pickup directly from your hotel or accommodation in Athens and then head toward the heart of the city.
The highlight of the tour is the impressive Acropolis. You will climb the Acropolis hill and visit the Parthenon, the monumental marble gates of the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the famous Porch of the Caryatids at the Erechtheion.
You will also have time to explore the site at your own pace and enjoy unique panoramic views over Athens.
After that, we continue to the Presidential Palace, where you will see the Evzones in their traditional uniform and witness the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony.
We also visit Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.
The tour then continues to the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.
We will also drive up Lycabettus Hill, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Athens and the Acropolis from one of the highest points in the city.
At the end of the tour, there will be free time in Plaka, the historic old neighborhood of Athens, where you can enjoy a walk, do some shopping, or have traditional Greek food at a local restaurant, if you wish.
Please note that before entering the archaeological sites, I will provide guiding services.
At the end of the tour, we will of course return you to your hotel or accommodation in Athens.
