Full-Day Tour of Athens

Here is an overview of the full-day tour of Athens, offering a complete experience of the city, combining its most important historical landmarks with modern cultural highlights.

We begin with pickup directly from your hotel or accommodation in Athens and head toward the heart of the city.

The highlight of the tour is the world-famous Acropolis. You will climb the Acropolis hill and visit the Parthenon, the monumental marble gates of the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the famous Porch of the Caryatids at the Erechtheion. You will also have time to explore the site and enjoy panoramic views over Athens.

Afterwards, we visit the Acropolis Museum, one of the most important museums in Greece, where you can admire original sculptures and artifacts from the Acropolis in a modern architectural setting.

We then continue to the Presidential Palace, where you will see the Evzones in their traditional uniform and witness the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony.

The tour also includes a visit to Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, followed by a stop at the historic Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.

Before heading to Lycabettus Hill, we pass by the Athenian Trilogy, including the Academy of Athens, the Old University, and the National Library, three of the most important neoclassical buildings in the city.

We will then drive up Lycabettus Hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Acropolis.

The experience continues with a visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, one of the most important modern cultural landmarks of Athens, known for its impressive architecture, park and views over the city and the sea.

After that, we enjoy a drive through Piraeus, the largest port of Greece, where you will get a glimpse of the maritime side of Athens and its connection to the sea.

At the end of the tour, you will have free time in Plaka, the historic old neighborhood of Athens, where you can walk, shop or enjoy traditional Greek food.

Finally, we return to your hotel or accommodation, completing a full and well-balanced experience of Athens.
